Black-Owned Business Spotlight: Fabiola Hinton from SimplyFabilous

All black, all day, every day! Our mission is to promote black-owned businesses until the wheels fall off! So, here we are again! Today we blog about Fabiola Hinton, a true boss babe, Fabiola is the owner and founder of beauty and fashion accessory brand, SimplyFabilous. Fabiola, a Haitian-born Canadian moved to Canada in 2008 and she launched SimplyFabilous as a physical store in 2017. Today, we give Fabiola all the props for her courage and tenacity, running a business is definitely not for the faint-hearted!

The Story

As we stated above, Fabiola was born in Haiti but moved to Canada in 2008 to pursue education. Upon finishing high school she pursued a career as an aesthetician, inspired by her sister who is a cosmetologist, Fabiola took that path before deciding that she wanted to launch her own business. The inspiration came when she was tasked with creating a spa business plan for a college assignment. She made the decision to transform her dreams from concept to reality.

The company started life as a storefront in Ontario, Canada. However, after some time and reflection, Fabiola decided to close the store and launch as an exclusive online store instead. The brand continues to retail beauty and fashion products from its online store.

Gaining over 10k Instagram followers in less than a year, Fabiola has worked hard to push the brand to its current heights. The products are cruelty-free and non-toxic and the makeup colors are inspired by Fabiola's family members.
